A very thorough and thought provoking history of religious life. While O'Murchu predicts the demise of religious life by the end of the 21st Century, he also offers hope for how new religious communities will take hold. I have been a member of a religious community for the past 63 years. I celebrate the religious life I have lived especially my own growth since Vatican II. I hope and pray there are young religious today who will begin to discern their own future based on the author's recommendations.
I have heard so much about this work that I had to get my own copy. It was well worth the cost.. The author, O'Murchu knows religious life quite well and gives excellent advice.
